Downed Biker Blogathon
A friend of mine is doing a Downed Biker Blogathon . I'll let you go to the link I provided and read about it. One of the things I worry a bou the most is being a downed "biker", I hope that never happens to me, Russ or any of my children.

Preparedness... why we do it.
I have been trying to come up with a post for a week. I have been so busy doing other things, that even the ones I had in draft I thought were lousy. SO, LDS Preppers wrote a FABULOUS!!!!! article and I'd like to share it with you. Please go check it out. It is a little long, but a good read!
I have been a member of LDS Preppers for a long time, but I do not write anything there, I glean info and learn. But please go check out this article that someone wrote. Thanks!!!

Free Movie
A friend from another site posted about this, so I thought I would as well. Free summer movie! Regal Entertainment is having a Family Film Festival all summer long. They have a free G and PG movie every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00. Oh and this is national. Check the schedule here and select your state. Go and enjoy some free air conditioning!

Summer is here
I have been busy with berries... yup, been canning strawberry jam, and making strawberry freezer jam and freezing strawberries. We'll have more berries coming next week. I won't be cooking anymore berries for jams. I will be making some freezer jam, and freezing berries.
I am hoping by the end of this week I will have some zucchini ready to pick, and hopefully a couple of onions, some beets, and some chamomile. Today I will be harvesting some oregano and drying it. My little tiny oregano bush overwintered great, and now it huge. I will also be harvesting some sage.
My potatoes are growing, and it's time to add a tire and more dirt. My squashes in the tires don't seem to be doing well, but I'm praying soon there will be a possitive change.

The Linus Project
When Peaches went into the hospital to have her appendix taken out, and was there for a couple days before they took it out, she was given a blanket, a teddy bear, and a pillow case. She loves all three. The blanket was from the Linus Project. When I tried to find out how to donate to the Linus Project, I couldn't find a way to do it. BUT watch this, it will give you some insight, and it brought tears to my eyes.
